The Story
This homeowner had three dogs and two kids under five. The natural grass was gone months ago. What was left looked like a mud pit after every watering. He told me straight up that he wanted something the dogs could not destroy and the kids could play on without tracking dirt through the house. That is exactly what we gave him.

Project Scope
Full artificial turf installation with custom putting green and insulated aluminum patio cover.
The Challenge
The yard sloped toward the house on the left side, which was causing water to pool against the foundation. The existing irrigation system was leaking underground and needed to be fully capped. We also had a narrow side yard gate which made getting materials in more difficult than usual.
Our Solution
We capped and removed the old irrigation lines, then regraded the left side to push water toward a new catch basin. I spec'd out a premium 1.75-inch pile turf with antimicrobial infill made specifically for pet use. We added a drainage layer underneath so liquids pass through fast. For the patio cover, we went with a 16-by-14 insulated aluminum structure that tied into the existing fascia. The homeowner added a small putting green section near the back fence, which was a fun touch.
